Freelance Cinematographer – Comedy Skits Riyadh

This role involves producing two short, narrative comedy-skit commercials for social media, each approximately 40–45 seconds in length. The project requires a Riyadh-based filmmaker or videographer to manage the entire production process, including on-site filming at an indoor office and a local cafeteria. The visual style should emulate a mockumentary, featuring handheld camera movement, quick zooms, natural workplace lighting, and deadpan comedic timing. Clean, high-quality dialogue audio is essential, and the candidate must provide professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment. The position also covers directing support and full post-production, including editing, color grading, sound design, and final audio mixing. Scripts and storyboard references will be provided, and the first edit is expected within 5–7 days of filming, with final versions delivered after revisions. Responsibilities Plan and execute the filming of two short comedy-skit commercials on location in Riyadh. Direct actors and manage on-set workflow to achieve a mockumentary style with dynamic pacing and comedic timing. Capture high-quality dialogue audio using professional boom and/or lavalier microphones. Oversee all aspects of post-production: editing, color grading, sound design, and audio mixing. Deliver a first edit within 5–7 days post-shoot and finalize publish-ready versions after feedback. Collaborate with the client using provided scripts and storyboard references. Ensure all deliverables meet social media advertising standards and visual references. Skills And Requirements Proven experience in narrative or commercial video production, with a strong portfolio of comedy or mockumentary-style work. Proficiency in camera operation, lighting, and professional audio capture for dialogue. Advanced skills in video editing, color grading, sound design, and audio mixing. Ability to direct talent and manage small on-site productions efficiently. Strong understanding of comedic timing, pacing, and visual storytelling for social media. Access to professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment. Fluency or strong working comprehension of Arabic is highly beneficial. Based in Riyadh or able to travel for a full-day shoot. Ability to deliver high-quality edits within tight deadlines. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Willingness to share relevant work samples upon application.
