Role Description The Senior Civil Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Suez, responsible for leading and overseeing civil engineering design and implementation for infrastructure and construction projects. This role includes managing and reviewing detailed designs, drawings, and specifications, ensuring compliance with local regulations, international standards, and project requirements. The Senior Civil Engineer will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, support planning and scheduling of project activities, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site staff. Daily responsibilities also include supervising site work, monitoring quality and safety, addressing technical issues, and contributing to stormwater and drainage solutions where applicable. The role involves regular reporting on project progress, supporting client meetings, and collaborating with project management teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality. Qualifications Strong civil engineering background, including Civil Engineering Design and general Civil Engineering principles. Proven experience as a Civil Engineer in infrastructure or construction projects, with the ability to lead and mentor engineering teams. Competence in Planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of project activities. Experience in Stormwater Management, drainage design, and related hydraulic or environmental considerations. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline. Proficiency with relevant design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, civil design tools) and MS Office applications. Solid understanding of construction codes, standards, and quality and safety practices. Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams. Demonstrated ability to work on-site, manage multiple tasks, and make sound technical decisions under time constraints. Previous experience in large-scale or international projects in the Middle East is an advantage. Show more Show less
