GL Analyst

Key Responsibilities: Manage the fixed asset ledger, including capitalization, depreciation, disposal, and reconciliation of asset records. Review fixed asset records regularly to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Oversee payroll accounting, including recording payroll expenses, benefits, and related liabilities. Ensure accurate allocation of HR costs to relevant cost centers and departments and reconcile payroll accounts to resolve discrepancies. Perform intercompany reconciliations, manage settlements, and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate and consistent intercompany balances. Perform month-end foreign currency and inventory system revaluations, ensuring accurate exchange rates and journal entries. Generate the NVO month-end sales revaluation report and post the related journal entries. Reconcile bank-recorded cash and treasury transactions with the general ledger monthly, investigating and resolving discrepancies as an independent control over cash-related postings. Calculate and record month-end tax provisions for assigned entities, coordinating with relevant Finance stakeholders on technical accounting positions. Prepare tax-related schedules and documentation to support statutory reporting and audits. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records. Prepare and post journal entries for routine and non-routine transactions, including accruals and adjustments. Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely completion and resolution of outstanding issues. Perform balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts and resolve review findings and outstanding action points. Identify and address issues affecting the financial close process to meet reporting deadlines. Coordinate financial and tax audits by providing supporting documentation, addressing auditor queries, and facilitating the resolution of audit findings. Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, procedures, and applicable accounting and tax regulations. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. 3-5 years of financial analysis & accounting solid experience, ideally spanning both general ledger work (fixed assets, payroll accounting, intercompany reconciliation) and FX/tax-adjacent work (FX revaluation, tax calculation, bank reconciliation) Practical Experience and understanding of US GAAP is preferred. Relevant experience in analyzing and reviewing financial statements & ledgers. Experience in the agribusiness or manufacturing sector is a plus.
