About the Role This is a hands-on engineering role at the heart of how we deliver projects. You'll lead the technical design and implementation of renewable energy systems - PV solar, substations, and BESS - for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale clients, taking projects from first concept through detailed design to commissioning on site. You'll own the engineering that makes a project real: string sizing and yield assessments, layouts and single-line diagrams, protection selection and cable calculations, and the functional specifications that turn a client's requirements into a buildable system. You'll spend time both at the desk and in the field - evaluating designs, guiding installation, troubleshooting faults, and commissioning systems - and you'll work closely with our SCADA and automation team as projects come to life. What You'll Do Design & Engineering Design PV systems end to end: string length, cable calculations, protection selection, and energy yield assessment. Prepare rooftop and ground-mounted PV layouts, including cable runs, mounting structures, walkways, electrical panels, and inverters. Produce electrical drawings, layouts, and single-line diagrams (SLDs) to a professional, buildable standard. Lead the preparation and review of Functional Design Specifications based on customer requirements and tender documents. Work within a team to develop system requirements and detailed proposals in response to client RFPs. Project Delivery & Commissioning Lead the installation, evaluation, and maintenance of PV and BESS systems - electrical panels, monitoring stations, PV structures, cable routing, and control and monitoring systems. Take initiative in inspection and commissioning activities on site. Troubleshoot electrical faults on site, and guide troubleshooting teams from the back office. Lead commissioning of PV and BESS projects, and support the SCADA team on PPC, HMI, and automation system commissioning. Standards, Quality & Owner's Engineering Evaluate existing designs, drawings, and electrical connections, and ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and international standards. Conduct system performance analysis and optimization (PR, losses, efficiency). Act as Owner's Engineer for design work performed by outside consultants, evaluating their designs against the agreed scope of work. Support procurement by selecting appropriate components - modules, inverters, cables, and protection devices. Coordination & Representation Participate in and lead technical discussions with end users, suppliers, and business partners. Act as a technical representative of the company in customer-facing discussions, industry forums, and conferences. Coordinate with procurement and project management to keep projects on time, on budget, and to specification. What You'll Bring Education Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline from a recognized university. Experience 3-5 years of experience in Solar PV project design, setup, and implementation. A track record of delivering PV projects from design through to site execution. Experience in BESS projects is a strong plus. Experience on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects is a plus. Technical Understanding Expert-level knowledge of electrical power system calculations, protection, safety, and design. Strong grasp of cable sizing, circuit breakers, and protection systems. Understanding of grid connection requirements and international standards (IEC, IEEE). Ability to analyze system performance - PR, losses, and efficiency. Familiarity with SCADA and monitoring & control systems is a plus. Knowledge of medium-voltage (MV) switchgear design and a basic understanding of power system studies (load flow, short circuit) are a plus. AutoCAD for electrical drawings, layouts, and SLDs. PVsyst for energy yield assessment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Interpersonal Skills Sharp analytical thinking, with strong attention to detail. The ability to communicate clearly across construction, technical, and non-technical teams, both inside and outside the company. Well organized, with effective time management across multiple project deadlines. A collaborative approach, working comfortably alongside SCADA, procurement, and project management. An entrepreneurial mindset, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and multitask. Languages Fluency in Arabic and English (minimum High B2 / C1 level). Other Requirements Willingness to travel to project sites within Jordan and, as needed, the wider region. Comfortable with field-based work, frequent site visits, and outdoor conditions.
