Accountant

Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting activities including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and bank reconciliations. Prepare and issue sales invoices, credit notes, and billing documents. Review and process supplier invoices and expense claims. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Prepare monthly financial and management reports. Handle UAE VAT calculations, reconciliations, and VAT return preparation. Support month-end and year-end closing activities. Coordinate with auditors and prepare required schedules and documentation. Support budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis. Assist with ERP/accounting software implementation and configuration. Support chart of accounts setup, opening balances, workflows, and data migration. Train users on accounting systems where required. Support improvement of accounting processes and internal controls. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field. 3–5 years of UAE accounting experience. Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and FTA requirements. Good understanding of AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with accounting / ERP software. Knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and analytical ability. Good communication and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
