Role Description The Merchandiser – Textile Experience role is a full-time, on-site position based in Az Zaqāzīq. This role involves planning and coordinating the presentation and promotion of SEKEM’s textile products across retail and wholesale channels, ensuring alignment with brand standards and sustainability values. The Merchandiser will analyze sales data, monitor inventory levels, and liaise with production, sales, and marketing teams to optimize product assortments and ensure timely replenishment. Day-to-day tasks include visiting points of sale, setting up displays, collecting market feedback, and supporting customer-facing staff with product knowledge and merchandising guidelines. The role also contributes to pricing discussions, promotional activities, and seasonal planning to drive sales performance and enhance customer experience. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to collaborate with internal teams and support retail partners and customers effectively. Candidates should possess Sales and Retail skills to manage assortments, monitor performance at points of sale, and contribute to achieving revenue and turnover targets. Candidates should possess Marketing skills to support product positioning, visual merchandising, and promotional activities that reflect SEKEM’s brand and sustainability values. Candidates should have experience or strong interest in textiles, fashion, or apparel merchandising, ideally within an organic or sustainable product context. Candidates should demonstrate analytical ability for interpreting sales and inventory data, attention to detail, and strong organizational and time-management skills. Candidates should be able to work on-site in Az Zaqāzīq, travel to different retail locations as needed, and collaborate across multicultural and cross-functional teams. A relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Fashion/Textiles, or a related field is beneficial; previous experience in merchandising or retail in textiles is a strong advantage.
