IT Network Security Engineering Supervisor

Role Summary The IT Network Security Engineering Supervisor leads the day-to-day operation and protection of the organization’s network security infrastructure. As the L2 technical owner for a broad portfolio of security platforms, this role keeps these services resilient and compliant. Within it, the Supervisor guide Seniors and L1 Engineers, own escalations, and drive changes and new technology adoption. The role suits a seasoned security professional who combines deep technical expertise with the leadership needed to strengthen both the platforms and the team behind them. Responsibilities: Manage daily operational cases and tickets in coordination with the team, ensuring timely resolution within SLAs. Lead the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of security hardware and software solutions. Act as the L2 escalation point, providing advanced troubleshooting for security issues, and escalate to L3 or vendor support with complete diagnostics. Provide day-to-day technical directions to Senior Engineers, and manage onboarding, knowledge transfer, and mentoring of new team members. Lead root cause analysis for recurring and major incidents. Lead, review, and execute security changes, upgrades, and patching during approved change windows. Coordinate and manage POCs, solution evaluations, and testing before production deployment. Maintain runbooks, known-error records, and troubleshooting guides. Keep up to date on cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders across departments with strong teamwork and communication. Experience & Qualifications 6+ years of hands-on network security experience. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science Technical Skills — Must-have Multi-vendor Next-Generation Firewall operations Site-to-site and remote access VPN Web Application Firewall operations and tuning Network Access Control and TACACS+/RADIUS-based AAA Technical Skills — Strong advantage Telecom, ISP, or large data center experience.
