Job Title: Senior Performance Benchmarking Specialist Location: United Arab Emirates (Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time Work Arrangement: 100% Remote — Work From Home About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Performance Benchmarking Specialist to evaluate software, applications, and infrastructure through structured performance testing and benchmarking. The successful candidate will establish performance baselines, identify bottlenecks, measure system efficiency, and provide actionable recommendations to improve scalability, responsiveness, reliability, and resource utilization. Key Responsibilities Design and execute performance benchmarks for applications, APIs, databases, distributed systems, and infrastructure. Establish performance baselines, service-level objectives, and measurable benchmarks for critical workloads. Conduct load, stress, endurance, scalability, and regression testing under realistic operating conditions. Analyze latency, throughput, resource consumption, concurrency, and system response patterns. Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with engineering teams to develop optimization strategies. Build and maintain automated benchmarking frameworks, test scripts, and repeatable performance test environments. Compare system configurations, software versions, hardware options, and architectural approaches using consistent testing methodologies. Monitor CPU, memory, storage, network, and database performance to determine resource constraints. Prepare technical reports, dashboards, and benchmark summaries for engineering teams and management. Recommend performance improvements and validate their effectiveness through follow-up testing. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline. At least 5–8 years of experience in performance engineering, benchmarking, quality assurance, or systems optimization. Strong understanding of performance metrics, workload modeling, latency analysis, throughput, and scalability testing. Experience with benchmarking and load-testing tools such as Apache JMeter, k6, Gatling, or Locust. Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, or comparable tools. Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, APIs, databases, distributed systems, and containerized environments. Experience automating performance tests and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines. Strong analytical, documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with remote engineering teams.
