Interface Coordinator

Target Engineering & Construction Co. LLC is looking for an experienced Interface Coordinator to join our team on a major Oil & Gas EPC project in the UAE. This role is critical in ensuring seamless coordination and management of project interfaces between the client, engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, vendors, subcontractors, and third parties. The successful candidate will drive interface management activities across the entire project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements, project schedules, and industry standards. YOUR ROLE As an Interface Coordinator, you will have the below key responsibilities including but not limited to: Interface Management Planning Develop and implement the Interface Management Plan in line with contractual and project requirements. Establish interface management procedures, registers, tracking systems, and reporting mechanisms. Define and communicate interface responsibilities among project stakeholders. Interface Identification & Control Identify and manage internal and external interfaces throughout engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases. Maintain and regularly update the Interface Register. Ensure all interface points are assigned, monitored, and closed in a timely manner. Client Coordination Coordinate with KJO Project Management Team (PMT) on technical clarifications, approvals, and interface resolutions. Monitor and follow up on client actions impacting project execution. Ensure all client-related interfaces are tracked and documented. Engineering Coordination Facilitate coordination between all engineering disciplines to prevent design conflicts. Monitor critical deliverables impacting multidisciplinary activities. Ensure alignment across engineering packages and project requirements. Procurement & Vendor Interfaces Coordinate vendor documentation submissions, reviews, and approvals. Ensure procurement activities align with engineering and construction schedules. Monitor material delivery interfaces and resolve related issues. Construction & Site Coordination Manage interfaces between construction teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Coordinate work-front availability, access requirements, and execution sequencing. Resolve site interface conflicts to support project progress. Third-Party Coordination Interface with utility providers, authorities, external contractors, and other third parties. Monitor external approvals, permits, and dependencies affecting the project. Meetings, Reporting & Risk Management Organize and lead regular interface coordination meetings. Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, action trackers, and status reports. Identify interface risks and implement mitigation strategies. Monitor critical interfaces impacting schedule, cost, and project performance. Maintain interface KPIs and report critical issues to management. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Experience Minimum 7-10 years of EPC project experience. Minimum 5 years of Interface Management experience on industrial projects. Proven experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects. Brownfield project experience is preferred. Familiarity with KJO and/or Saudi Aramco project procedures is advantageous. Education and Certifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (any discipline). Skills and Competencies Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills. Solid understanding of the EPC project lifecycle. Knowledge of engineering workflows, construction interfaces, and project execution processes. Strong schedule awareness and experience with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project. Excellent document control, tracking, and reporting capabilities. Risk identification, issue resolution, and problem-solving skills. Sound technical and contractual understanding.
