Valuing People. Science. Life At Labatec Pharma, we deliver medicines that improve quality of life for patients across Switzerland, the Middle East, North Africa and Europe, serving both the hospital and retail sectors. Our people are at the center of everything we do. We are looking for a Business Development and Alliance Manager to join our Corporate Development team. Location: Amman, Jordan (on-site) About the role You will lead in-licensing deals from first contact to signature, then own the relationship with our licensing partners for the life of each agreement, making sure every alliance delivers its full value. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Development, you will also support wider corporate transactions: mergers and acquisitions, out-licensing and post-deal integration. You will work closely with Sales and Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance and Legal. Your key responsibilities Business development (in-licensing) Scout, screen and evaluate in-licensing opportunities in our focus therapeutic areas and markets. Conduct market research and build product forecasts across multiple regions, stress-testing assumptions as market conditions change. Build business cases and prepare materials for internal management approval. Define the negotiation strategy for each assigned project and negotiate term sheets and licensing, supply and distribution agreements. Manage the business development pipeline and contribute to the annual business development plan and budget. Deliver projects on time and in line with the internal business development process, keeping leadership informed of progress, risks and mitigation actions. Alliance management Act as the single point of contact for assigned licensing partners, from signature through the full life of the agreement. Set up and run partner governance: joint steering committees, business reviews and agreed action plans. Track partner and contract performance: forecasts, minimum order quantities, minimum sales commitments, launch timelines, regulatory milestones and supply. Monitor contractual obligations on both sides, flag risks early and resolve issues before they escalate. Identify opportunities to extend partnerships (new products, territories, renewals) and lead renewal and amendment negotiations. Coordinate internal teams (Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Quality, Pharmacovigilance) so Labatec meets its commitments to partners. Maintain a partner engagement plan and schedule periodic partner visits. Support to corporate transactions Support the Head of Corporate Development on mergers and acquisitions: target screening, initial commercial and financial analysis, and coordination of due diligence workstreams. Support out-licensing projects: identify potential licensees, prepare presentation materials and support negotiations. Contribute to integration planning and execution for acquired products, portfolios or companies, including the transfer of partner contracts. Network and market presence Represent Labatec at industry events and partnering conferences in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa to grow our partner network. What we are looking for University degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biology, Medicine or equivalent, with a strong scientific understanding of pharmaceutical products. An advanced degree (Master, Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctorate or Master of Business Administration) is preferred. At least 5 years in business development, licensing or alliance management within the pharmaceutical industry. Proven track record of negotiating and closing licensing, supply or distribution agreements. Hands-on experience managing partner relationships after signature, including governance and contract performance tracking. Strong ability to review legal documents and contribute to drafting agreements, with a good understanding of commercial and trade law. Knowledge of regulatory, medical affairs and go-to-market processes in the Middle East, North Africa or Europe is a plus. Strong numerical and analytical skills: building forecasts, business cases and budgets. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior management. Results-driven, organized and comfortable managing several projects in a fast-moving environment. Comfortable working across cultures with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Excellent spoken and written English (C1 to C2 level) and fluent Arabic. Another European language is a plus. Other requirements Travel up to 30% of the time across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Valid driving license. What we offer A collaborative, friendly environment in a human-sized company.
