MEP Tender engineer

Role Description The MEP Tender Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo. This role is responsible for preparing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) tender documents, including quantity take-offs, cost estimates, technical proposals, and compliance checklists. Daily tasks include reviewing drawings and specifications, coordinating with design, procurement, and construction teams, and clarifying technical queries with consultants and clients. The MEP Tender Engineer will analyze bids, support value engineering, ensure alignment with project budgets and timelines, and maintain accurate tender records. The role also involves contributing to risk assessments, attending coordination meetings, and supporting continuous improvement of tender processes and standards. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) and Building Services skills, with solid understanding of integrated building systems. Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering knowledge and experience in electrical systems design, load calculations, and tender preparation. Candidates should possess Plumbing expertise, including piping layouts, water supply, drainage systems, and related tender documentation. Candidates should possess MEP Coordination capabilities, including reviewing multidisciplinary drawings, identifying clashes, and aligning designs with project requirements. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a closely related field. Experience in tendering, estimating, or design within construction or consultancy firms, preferably on building projects. Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or other BIM tools, MS Excel) and familiarity with local codes and international standards. Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
