Role Description The Tender & Proposal Engineer – Substation is a full-time, on-site role based in the United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for preparing and writing technical and commercial proposals for substation projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing tender documents, coordinating with engineering, sales, and procurement teams, and developing cost estimates and technical clarifications. The role involves analyzing project requirements, selecting appropriate equipment and solutions, and supporting negotiations with clients. The Tender & Proposal Engineer also contributes to improving proposal processes, maintaining tender documentation, and providing timely status updates to internal stakeholders. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Proposal Preparation and Proposal Writing skills for technical and commercial substation tenders. Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering knowledge, specifically related to substations, power systems, and associated equipment. Candidates should possess Sales capabilities, including understanding customer requirements and supporting business development activities. Candidates should possess Procurement-related skills, such as coordinating supplier quotations, evaluating offers, and optimizing cost and delivery terms. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Experience in substation projects, tendering, or proposals within the power or utilities sector. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards relevant to substation design and equipment. Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and clients. Proficiency in MS Office and common engineering or costing tools; familiarity with ERP or tender management systems is an advantage. Show more Show less
