Assistant Resident Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer to join our infrastructure project supervision team in Dubai. The successful candidate will assist the Resident Engineer in supervising construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, contractual requirements, quality standards, and relevant Dubai authority regulations. Key Responsibilities Assist the Resident Engineer in the day-to-day supervision and management of infrastructure construction activities. Monitor site progress and ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and project schedules. Supervise infrastructure works, including roads, utilities, drainage, wet utilities, and associated civil works. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and relevant authorities to ensure smooth project execution. Review shop drawings, method statements, inspection requests, material submittals, and technical documents. Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship, materials, and compliance with approved project requirements. Monitor project progress, identify construction issues, and support the implementation of corrective actions. Ensure compliance with project quality assurance and quality control procedures, health and safety requirements, and environmental standards. Assist in reviewing and resolving technical issues, site queries, and requests for information (RFIs). Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, inspection records, and other project documentation. Support the Resident Engineer in managing contractual obligations, variations, and coordination meetings. Ensure that construction activities comply with applicable Dubai Municipality, RTA, and other relevant authority requirements, as applicable to the project. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years of overall experience in infrastructure construction supervision. Relevant experience in roads, utilities, drainage, and other infrastructure projects. Previous experience working with an engineering consultancy on infrastructure supervision projects in the UAE is preferred. Familiarity with Dubai infrastructure standards, authority requirements, and construction specifications. Strong knowledge of construction drawings, quality control procedures, contract administration, and site supervision practices. Excellent coordination, communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in relevant engineering software and Microsoft Office applications. Show more Show less
