Role Description The FortiSIEM Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role is responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining FortiSIEM environments for clients, including onboarding data sources, tuning correlation rules, and optimizing dashboards and reports. The administrator will monitor security events, investigate alerts, and work closely with security teams to identify and remediate potential threats. Day-to-day activities include managing user access, maintaining system health and performance, performing upgrades and patching, and ensuring log collection and retention policies are properly configured. The role also involves producing documentation, supporting incident response activities, and collaborating with consultants and clients to continuously improve security monitoring capabilities. Qualifications Strong knowledge of FortiSIEM administration, including deployment, configuration, rule tuning, and dashboard/report customization. Experience with SIEM concepts and tools (event correlation, log management, alerting, incident triage) and understanding of SOC workflows. Solid foundation in information security principles, including network security, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, and common attack vectors. Hands-on experience with network infrastructure (TCP/IP, routing, switching) and system administration for major operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix). Ability to analyze log data, identify anomalies, and produce clear technical documentation and incident reports. Relevant certifications are beneficial, such as Fortinet NSE certifications, SIEM-related certifications, or industry credentials like CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
