CAD / CNC Operator – Packaging Department (1-2 years of EXP)

Role Description : • Design & Drafting: Draw 2D or 3D models in AutoCAD to plan part geometry, dimensions, and precise coordinates. • Conversion (CAM): Export designs (often as DXF files) into CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software or converters to generate the machine-readable G-code required by the CNC machine. • Setup & Operation: Mount materials, calibrate cutting tools, and run the CNC mill, safely while monitoring the tool path. This role is responsible for preparing and optimizing CAD drawings for packaging-related components, including cutting layouts, die-lines, and structural designs for packaging materials. The operator will set up, program, and run CNC machines to execute precise cutting, engraving, or forming operations according to technical drawings and production specifications. Daily tasks include reviewing design requirements, ensuring compliance with CAD standards, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with production, and quality teams to resolve technical issues. The role also involves routine machine maintenance, monitoring production quality, and adhering to safety and efficiency guidelines in the packaging department. Qualifications: Proficiency in reading technical blueprints and engineering drawings. Understanding of basic G-code and how CAD data translates into physical movement. Experience operating and programming CNC machines, especially in packaging, manufacturing, or related industrial environments. Understanding of packaging materials and processes, with attention to dimensional accuracy, fit, and structural integrity. Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot design and machine issues under time constraints. Ability to work on-site in Qesm El Obour, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and follow safety and quality standards. Previous experience in a production or packaging department and basic knowledge of CAM software and CNC machine maintenance are advantageous. Show more Show less
