Role Description The Laptop Maintenance Engineer (Hardware – Software – Apple Mac) is a part-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. The role involves diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues on laptops, including Apple Mac devices, ensuring reliable performance and minimal downtime. Responsibilities include performing routine inspections, executing preventive maintenance, upgrading components, and reinstalling or configuring operating systems and software. The engineer will document all service activities, maintain accurate records of parts and tools used, and follow safety and quality standards. Collaboration with sales and support teams to provide technical guidance, support customer inquiries, and help optimize spare parts usage is also part of the day-to-day work. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for laptops and related hardware. Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance Engineering and Preventive Maintenance to plan and implement regular service schedules. Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Maintenance for diagnosing and resolving power, charging, and board-level issues. Proficiency in hardware diagnostics, component-level troubleshooting, and replacement for Windows and Apple Mac laptops. Good knowledge of operating systems installation, software configuration, data backup, and basic cybersecurity practices. Ability to read technical manuals, use diagnostic tools, and follow standard operating procedures and safety regulations. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple service tasks. Relevant technical diploma or degree in electronics, computer engineering, or a related field; prior experience in laptop repair or maintenance is highly beneficial. Show more Show less
