Senior Planning Engineer

Opportunity Details We’re Hiring: Senior Planning Engineer Colas Rail Egypt is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join the Cairo Metro Line 1 (CML1) Rehabilitation Project in the railway and metro sector. Location: Bab El-Louk, Downtown Cairo, Egypt Project: Rehabilitation of Cairo Metro Line 1 Role overview Develop, maintain and analyse project schedules to support the successful delivery of the CML1 rehabilitation works. You will coordinate planning inputs across project disciplines, monitor progress, identify schedule risks and provide clear, timely reports to support project decisions. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain project schedules, work plans and look-ahead programmes in coordination with the project team. Coordinate and validate progress updates from engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning teams. Track actual progress against the approved programme and analyse variances, critical-path activities and potential delays. Prepare progress reports, forecasts, dashboards and schedule analyses for project reviews. Identify schedule risks and support the preparation of mitigation and recovery plans. Coordinate planning interfaces with project teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders. Support change control and the preparation of schedule-related project documentation. Maintain accurate planning records and contribute to planning and progress meetings. Qualifications And Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; an electrical engineering background is preferred. At least 8 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably on rail, metro, infrastructure or other complex engineering projects. Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and proficiency in Excel and progress reporting tools. Good understanding of critical-path analysis, progress measurement, schedule risk and project controls. Strong analytical, communication and coordination skills. Electrical engineering experience and railway or metro project experience are preferred. Show more Show less
