Accountant & Cost Controller

Job Description Macera Restaurant & Bar is seeking an experienced Accountant & Cost Controller to manage daily accounting operations, purchasing, inventory, financial reconciliation, and cost control. Previous experience in the hospitality industry, particularly restaurants and bars with alcoholic beverage purchasing and inventory management, is required. Key Responsibilities Record and verify daily purchases, supplier invoices, payments, and expenses. Manage and monitor food, beverage, and alcohol purchasing, including supplier pricing and invoices. Perform bank, POS, cash, and accounting system reconciliations. Conduct regular financial audits and investigate discrepancies. Monitor food and beverage costs, wastage, and inventory variances. Conduct physical inventory counts, including liquor, wine, beer, and food stock. Reconcile alcohol purchases, inventory consumption, and POS sales. Prepare payroll, including salaries, overtime, and deductions. Handle General Sales Tax, Income Tax, and related compliance requirements. Monitor daily cash handling, sales closing procedures, and operational cash controls. Prepare financial and cost-control reports for management. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in hospitality, restaurants, or bars. Proven experience in alcoholic beverage purchasing, inventory, and cost control is mandatory. Knowledge of Jordanian tax regulations, payroll, and Social Security. Proficiency in accounting software, POS systems, and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently.
