Head of Quantity Surveyor

An industrial company is seeking a highly qualified professional to lead its Quantity Surveying Department. The successful candidate will oversee post-contract activities and lead the team in managing project costs, payment applications, variations, and financial claims accurately and efficiently, while safeguarding project profitability. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage quantity surveying teams across project sites and the head office, assigning tasks and monitoring performance. Manage contracts and review and approve periodic payment applications submitted to clients, as well as subcontractor payment applications. Coordinate with relevant departments to measure, price, and negotiate variations, and prepare financial and time-related claims. Support the Cost Control Department in monitoring project cash flows, comparing actual costs against approved budgets, and preparing project financial closeout reports. Manage the final account process with clients and subcontractors. Qualifications and Experience: A specialized diploma in Quantity Surveying, or a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering. At least 15 years of experience with contracting companies. Experience with FIDIC contracts and government procurement, including preparing financial claims and protecting the company’s contractual and financial entitlements. Strong leadership, negotiation, and dispute-resolution skills. Fluency in both Arabic and English, spoken and written. Advanced proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD. Experience with quantity takeoff and advanced modeling software, such as PlanSwift and Revit, is an advantage. Show more Show less
