Lead Electrical Engineer

Job Summary The Lead Electrical / I&C Engineer provides technical expertise and leadership in electrical and instrumentation & control activities for investment projects, overseeing design review, implementation, and stakeholder coordination from early evaluation through execution. Job Responsibilities Provide technical support for electrical / I&C activities in potential investments, defining phases, scope, budget, quality, and time. Support procurement, investment control, and commercial aspects related to the electrical / I&C discipline. Represent the company with the client and third parties on all electrical / I&C matters, including negotiations. Provide technical, operational, and managerial leadership for successful investment development and implementation. Review and approve all electrical / I&C design activities. Manage stakeholder communication with the client, JV members, and leading entities. Develop and monitor operational systems and key performance metrics, and prepare consolidated reports on challenges, risks, and mitigations. Take accountability for investment budget and baseline development for technical inputs. Manage electrical / I&C-related risks to avoid delays or reputational damage. Ensure compliance with policies, legislation, and professional standards. Support HSE initiatives and incident reporting in line with IMS policies. Job Knowledge & Skills In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Leadership and team management experience. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills (required). Job Experience Minimum 8 years of experience, including 5 years in a supervisory position; 2 years of GCC experience is a plus. Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. 8+ years in power plants, oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial EPC projects. Experience as a designer, Owner’s Engineer, Owner’s Representative, or EPC engineering lead. Strong capability in electrical / I&C design review, power distribution and control systems, contractor management, and multidisciplinary coordination. PMP preferred, with experience in Primavera P6 and schedule management. Show more Show less
