Implement data-protection, disaster-recovery and failover mechanisms for assigned Windows services.
Monitor Windows systems, servers, storage, virtualization, backups, logs, metrics, alerts and service availability, and troubleshoot outages.
Apply approved releases, patches, security updates and hardening baselines.

Participate in technology risk assessments, business impact analyses and design reviews for new services, facilities and systems.
Manage assigned Web Proxy and email-security infrastructure where retained within the Systems scope, in coordination with Cyber Security and approved ownership boundaries.
Ensure production changes follow approved testing, authorization and rollback-controlled change management.
Use approved AI to correlate Windows, Active Directory, virtualization, storage, backup and monitoring telemetry to support troubleshooting, alert reduction, abnormal-trend detection and service-health analysis.
Use approved AI to assist with controlled PowerShell/automation drafting, technical procedures, diagrams, inventories, checklists, reports and role-based training content from validated internal information.
Review, test and approve all AI-generated PowerShell, scripts, commands, configurations and recommendations before production use; security ownership boundaries and change controls remain unchanged, and sensitive production, identity or configuration information must not be submitted to external AI platforms.
Continuity and Operational Resilience Responsibilities:
Maintain tested recovery procedures for Active Directory, critical Windows servers, virtualization, storage, enterprise backup, systems-management platforms and assigned applications/services.
Execute and participate in periodic backup-restoration, failover, infrastructure-recovery and site-recovery tests, and document recovery results and corrective actions.
Maintain current system-state/configuration backups, recovery media, installation sources, licenses, build standards and dependency documentation required for recovery.
Identify single points of failure, unsupported systems/components, storage or virtualization capacity bottlenecks, and fragile identity/service dependencies.
Ensure DR Windows and enterprise systems remain patched, monitored, recoverable and configuration-aligned with production after approved changes.
Use approved AI to assist with access/policy drift review, capacity and rightsizing analysis, backup/restore readiness, lifecycle/EOL forecasting, dependency mapping and resilience analysis.
