Role Description The Server role is a full-time, on-site position based at Sharq Village & Spa in Doha, Qatar. The Server is responsible for welcoming guests, presenting menus, explaining dishes and beverages, and accurately taking and entering orders. Daily tasks include serving food and drinks, ensuring table settings are clean and well-presented, and coordinating with kitchen and bar teams to deliver timely, high-quality service. The Server also handles guest inquiries, addresses special requests or dietary needs, processes payments, and adheres to Ritz-Carlton service standards and hygiene protocols. Maintaining a professional appearance, supporting colleagues during peak periods, and contributing to a courteous, efficient dining environment are key aspects of the role. Qualifications Experience in food and beverage service, including taking orders, serving meals and beverages, and managing tables in a restaurant or hotel setting. Strong guest service and communication skills, with the ability to engage courteously with diverse guests and handle requests or concerns professionally. Knowledge of basic restaurant operations, including POS systems, cash handling, and coordination with kitchen and bar teams. Understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and proper handling of tableware, glassware, and service equipment. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Professional appearance and demeanor, with attention to detail and a commitment to Ritz-Carlton service values. Previous experience in luxury hotels or fine dining is an advantage; knowledge of local and international cuisines is beneficial.
