Planning Engineer

Candidzone is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer for a project with Acciona at Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC), Qatar. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in project planning and scheduling, with at least 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas, construction, or similar desalination plant projects. Hands-on experience with Primavera planning tools is essential. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6. Monitor project progress against approved plans, milestones, and targets. Prepare baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, and progress reports. Coordinate with project managers, engineering, procurement, and construction teams. Identify schedule delays, critical activities, and potential project risks. Analyze schedule variances and recommend corrective actions. Track project milestones and ensure timely completion of activities. Prepare progress measurement reports and planning documentation. Support project forecasting and schedule recovery plans. Requirements Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, construction, or related industries. Experience with projects involving desalination plants or similar industrial facilities is required. Strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and project planning tools.
