Plant General Manager KSA Technical Recruitment Campaign 2026 Location: Saudi Arabia Function: Operations & Maintenance Technologies: RO Desalination | CCGT Power Generation | Solar PV Job Summary ACWA Operations is seeking experienced Plant General Managers to join our talent pool for upcoming opportunities across Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations, optimizing performance, managing resources, and achieving contractual and financial objectives across RO desalination, CCGT power generation, or Solar PV facilities. Roles & Responsibilities Lead overall plant operations and maintenance activities, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production of electricity and/or desalinated water. Develop and implement plant strategies, operational plans, production targets, and performance improvement initiatives aligned with company objectives. Manage plant budgets, financial performance, operating costs, and contractual obligations to achieve profitability and productivity targets. Oversee plant performance, equipment reliability, preventive and corrective maintenance, planned outages, and technical troubleshooting. Provide technical leadership across RO desalination, CCGT power generation, or Solar PV systems, depending on the assigned plant technology. Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, Integrated Management System (IMS), regulatory standards, and company policies. Oversee procurement, spare parts management, contractor performance, and SAP implementation to support operational efficiency. Lead workforce planning, performance management, talent development, and stakeholder relationships while driving continuous improvement. Job Specifications Minimum Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Minimum Experience Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in plant operations and maintenance, including plant management experience. Operational experience in RO desalination, CCGT power generation, and/or Solar PV, relevant to the assigned plant. Required Skills Strong technical knowledge of power generation, desalination, or renewable energy plant operations and maintenance. Techno-commercial expertise, including contractual management, financial planning, and operational performance. Strong understanding of plant reliability, maintenance strategies, and performance optimization. Knowledge of SAP, IMS, HSE standards, and operational compliance. Excellent leadership, strategic planning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication, stakeholder management, project management, and team development skills. Work Conditions Site-based position at an assigned plant in Saudi Arabia. Responsibility for critical plant operations, maintenance activities, and emergency response as required.
