Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Amman. The individual in this role will handle daily accounting tasks, including recording transactions, maintaining the general ledger, reconciling bank and account statements, and preparing invoices and payment records. The Accountant will assist with month-end and year-end closing, support the preparation of financial reports, and ensure compliance with local tax and financial regulations. Additional responsibilities include monitoring accounts payable and receivable, supporting audits, and coordinating with internal teams to provide accurate financial information for decision-making. The role requires consistent attention to detail, adherence to company policies, and collaboration with colleagues in operations and management. Qualifications Strong skills in financial accounting, general ledger maintenance, and transaction recording. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes. Ability to prepare basic financial statements and assist with budgeting and reporting. Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools. Knowledge of local tax regulations, financial compliance standards, and audit support procedures. Excellent numerical accuracy, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively on-site. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
