Position Summary Join a fast-paced vehicle testing and mapping operations team supporting innovative automotive and mapping technology projects across major markets in the Middle East. The Contract Driver – Vehicle Testing & Mapping Operations role is responsible for safely operating assigned vehicles to support vehicle testing, road mapping, route validation, and data collection activities across designated locations. Drivers will be required to follow pre-assigned routes and testing instructions, operate vehicles for approximately 8 hours daily, and achieve a minimum daily driving target of 200 kilometers, subject to operational and road conditions. This role requires individuals who are disciplined, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable with extended driving schedules. The Project Coordinator – Vehicle Testing Operations will serve as the primary operational point of contact between the client, Drivers, and internal project management team. This role is responsible for coordinating daily testing activities, conducting driver orientations and operational training, managing route assignments, monitoring driving progress, and ensuring that all testing activities are executed according to client requirements and established operational procedures. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and confident in managing client relationships and field operations. This position requires strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and monitoring skills, with the ability to manage multiple Drivers and ensure smooth execution of daily vehicle testing activities. Functional Responsibilities Vehicle Operation & Route Execution 1. Safely operate assigned vehicles for vehicle testing, road mapping, route validation, and operational activities. 2. Complete a minimum target of 200 kilometers of assigned driving per day, subject to approved operational adjustments. 3. Strictly follow assigned routes, navigation instructions, testing procedures, and driving schedules. 4. Avoid unauthorized detours, route deviations, or interruptions that may affect testing accuracy and project deliverables. 5. Operate vehicles across highways, urban roads, residential areas, and other designated testing environments. 6. Support day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts as required. 7. Travel to designated testing locations within the assigned country or deployment area. Navigation & Mapping Operations 1. Proficiently use GPS-based navigation and digital mapping applications to follow assigned routes. 2. Monitor navigation instructions and report discrepancies, inaccessible roads, road closures, or route-related issues. 3. Ensure accurate execution of assigned routes and designated driving activities. 4. Follow specific client instructions related to mapping, vehicle testing, and road coverage. 5. Immediately report any technical or navigation-related issues affecting route execution. Vehicle Inspection & Safety Compliance 1. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. 2. Ensure the assigned vehicle is roadworthy and properly maintained before and after each shift. 3. Immediately report vehicle defects, warning indicators, incidents, or unusual vehicle behavior. 4. Comply with local traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies. 5. Observe required rest periods and fatigue management procedures. 6. Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle. Reporting & Communication 1. Maintain accurate daily driving logs, mileage records, route completion records, and operational reports. 2. Provide regular driving progress updates to the assigned Project Coordinator. 3. Promptly report incidents, delays, route deviations, vehicle issues, and operational concerns. 4. Complete all required documentation and testing-related reports within established deadlines. 5. Maintain clear and professional communication with the Project Coordinator and operations team. Professionalism & Operational Discipline 1. Strictly adhere to assigned schedules, route instructions, and operational procedures. 2. Attend mandatory safety briefings, driver orientations, and project-specific training. 3. Maintain confidentiality regarding client information, testing activities, and project-related data. 4. Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, accountability, and professional conduct at all times. 5. Cooperate with Project Coordinators and other operational personnel to ensure successful project execution. Client & Stakeholder Management 1. Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client coordination and operational concerns. 2. Attend client meetings, project briefings, and operational updates. 3. Communicate project requirements, operational updates, and performance expectations to Drivers. 4. Address client inquiries, escalate operational concerns, and ensure timely resolution of issues. 5. Maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. Driver Management & Training 1. Conduct Driver onboarding, orientation, and operational training before deployment. 2. Ensure Drivers understand assigned routes, driving schedules, testing procedures, safety protocols, and reporting requirements. 3. Provide regular coaching and guidance to ensure compliance with client expectations. 4. Monitor Driver attendance, punctuality, performance, and adherence to assigned schedules. 5. Coordinate Driver deployment, shift schedules, replacements, and daily manpower requirements. Route Assignment & Monitoring 1. Prepare and distribute daily route assignments and driving schedules to Drivers. 2. Monitor Driver progress and route completion throughout assigned shifts. 3. Ensure Drivers strictly follow designated routes and testing instructions, with no unauthorized detours or deviations. 4. Track daily driving distance, driving hours, route coverage, and task completion. 5. Coordinate route adjustments and reassignment when operationally necessary and authorized. 6. Identify route execution issues, delays, and deviations, and implement appropriate corrective actions. 7. Ensure accurate recording and reporting of completed routes and assigned driving activities. Project & Operational Coordination 1. Oversee daily vehicle testing operations to ensure activities run smoothly and according to project timelines. 2. Coordinate with Drivers, clients, and relevant operational teams to address day-to-day requirements. 3. Monitor vehicle availability, deployment schedules, and operational readiness. 4. Ensure completion and submission of daily operational reports, route logs, attendance records, and other required documentation. 5. Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements. 6. Escalate incidents, safety concerns, vehicle issues, and other critical operational matters promptly. 7. Support project planning, resource allocation, and operational performance tracking. Compliance, Safety & Reporting 1. Ensure Drivers comply with traffic regulations, company policies, client requirements, and established safety procedures. 2. Monitor compliance with assigned driving hours, rest periods, and operational schedules. 3. Ensure all Drivers complete required safety briefings and operational training. 4. Review daily reports and ensure accurate documentation of route completion, incidents, and irregularities. 5. Prepare and present regular operational updates and performance reports to the client and management. 6.
