Job Title: Senior Object Tracking Algorithm Specialist Location: United Arab Emirates (Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time Work Arrangement: 100% Remote — Work From Home Level: Senior About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Object Tracking Algorithm Specialist to design, develop, evaluate, and optimize computer vision algorithms that detect and track objects across image sequences and video streams. The successful candidate will apply deep learning, motion estimation, multi-object tracking, and statistical modeling techniques to build accurate and reliable tracking solutions. This fully remote role focuses on algorithm development, offline video analysis, performance evaluation, and technical collaboration with computer vision and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Design and develop algorithms for single-object and multi-object tracking across image sequences and video data. Implement object detection and tracking pipelines using traditional computer vision and deep learning techniques. Develop tracking methods based on Kalman filters, particle filters, optical flow, and motion estimation. Apply tracking algorithms such as SORT, DeepSORT, ByteTrack, and other suitable approaches. Integrate object detection models with tracking systems to maintain consistent object identities across video frames. Develop data association methods to match detected objects across consecutive frames. Optimize tracking performance under challenging conditions, including occlusion, motion blur, changing illumination, and camera movement. Evaluate object tracking accuracy using metrics such as MOTA, MOTP, IDF1, HOTA, and identity-switch counts. Conduct experiments to compare tracking architectures, association strategies, and model configurations. Analyze tracking failures, identity fragmentation, missed detections, and false associations. Develop preprocessing and post-processing methods to improve tracking stability and temporal consistency. Optimize algorithms for processing speed, computational efficiency, and scalability. Work with image and video datasets to prepare annotations, benchmark models, and validate tracking performance. Collaborate with computer vision engineers, machine learning specialists, data scientists, and software developers. Develop automated testing and evaluation frameworks for tracking algorithm validation. Maintain technical documentation covering algorithm architecture, datasets, evaluation methods, and performance limitations. Monitor algorithm performance across different environments, object categories, and video conditions. Present technical findings and recommendations to engineering teams and project stakeholders. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline. Significant professional experience in computer vision, object tracking, or machine learning algorithm development. Strong understanding of object detection, multi-object tracking, motion estimation, and visual recognition. Practical experience implementing tracking algorithms such as SORT, DeepSORT, ByteTrack, or equivalent methods. Proficiency in Python and relevant computer vision and machine learning libraries. Experience with OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or comparable frameworks. Knowledge of Kalman filtering, optical flow, feature matching, and data association techniques. Understanding of deep learning architectures for object detection and feature extraction. Experience evaluating tracking systems using established benchmark datasets and performance metrics. Familiarity with video processing, image annotation, and dataset preparation workflows. Knowledge of GPU acceleration and model optimization is advantageous. Ability to troubleshoot complex tracking failures and improve algorithm reliability. Strong mathematical, statistical, and analytical problem-solving skills. Excellent technical documentation and communication abilities. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.
