Project Performance Senior Engineer

Job Description Position: Project Performance Senior Engineer Job Purpose To monitor, analyze, and report project performance across assigned projects through effective implementation of project controls, planning, scheduling, progress measurement, cost monitoring, and performance reporting processes. The role supports the PMO function by providing accurate performance insights, identifying variances, and recommending corrective actions to ensure projects are delivered in line with approved schedules, budgets, and company objectives. Roles & Responsibilities Project Performance Monitoring Monitor project progress against approved baseline schedules and established KPIs. Track Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Cost Performance Index (CPI), productivity, and project performance indicators. Identify schedule delays, performance deviations, and emerging project risks. Support the development and follow-up of recovery and mitigation plans. Planning & Scheduling Prepare, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6. Monitor critical path activities and milestone achievement. Develop look-ahead schedules and support project teams in execution planning. Ensure project schedules comply with contractual and organizational requirements. Progress Measurement & Reporting Collect and validate progress data from project teams. Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc project performance reports. Develop dashboards and performance presentations for management review. Support the issuance of progress reports to clients and consultants when required. Cost & Resource Performance Analysis Monitor manpower, equipment, and resource utilization against plans. Support cost control activities through project performance analysis. Review productivity trends and highlight areas requiring improvement. Assist in cash flow forecasting and earned value analysis. Risk & Issue Management Maintain project risk and issue registers. Monitor implementation of mitigation actions and follow-up with responsible stakeholders. Escalate critical risks, delays, and performance concerns to management. Data Management & Controls Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of project controls data. Maintain project performance records, logs, and historical databases. Support PMO initiatives for standardization, process improvement, and lessons learned. Project Controls Support Assist in delay analysis, time impact analysis, and Extension of Time (EOT) preparations. Support project teams in performance improvement initiatives. Participate in project review meetings and provide performance insights and recommendations. Minimum Qualification & Requirements Item Requirement Qualification B.Sc. Engineering Education Civil Engineering Total Years of Experience 6-9 Years Relevant Experience Previous experience in Planning, Project Controls, or PMO Functions Professional Certification PMP Preferred, PMI-SP is an advantage Work Experience Construction & Infrastructure Projects Language Arabic & English Computer Skills Primavera P6, Power BI, Advanced Excel, MS Project, MS Office Show more Show less
