What you’ll do The Inventory Manager – Warehouse owns the accuracy, hygiene and physical layout of stock inside our fulfilment warehouses. The role makes sure that the stock in the system is the stock in the bin, so that every pick succeeds the first time. You will run inventory accuracy, cut pick skip rates, drive daily inventory hygiene tasks, and own the planogram and consolidation strategy that keeps the warehouse fast, dense and organized in a high-volume quick-commerce operation. Inventory Accuracy Own warehouse inventory accuracy at the location, SKU and unit level, with system stock matching physical stock in every bin. Design and run a risk-based cycle count program (ABC classification, high-value and high-variance SKUs, zero-stock and negative-stock checks), plus periodic full stocktakes. Investigate and reconcile variances quickly, find root causes (receiving errors, put-away errors, mis-picks, damages, theft) and close the gaps in the process. Set and enforce inventory control procedures across receiving, put-away, transfers, picking and returns to prevent shrinkage and losses. Pick Skip Rate Own and minimize the pick skip rate %: picks where the picker cannot find the item in the location the system shows. Analyze skips by SKU, location, zone, shift and picker, and separate their causes (phantom stock, wrong-bin put-away, mixed bins, damaged or expired stock, bins that were never refilled). Close the loop on every skip by triggering an instant recount and correcting the system, then fix the underlying cause. Work with Warehouse Operations to hold put-away and picking discipline, using scan compliance and location confirmation. Inventory Hygiene Run a daily hygiene task routine: empty-bin checks, wrong-location sweeps, mixed-SKU bin clean-ups, label and barcode fixes, and removal of damaged stock. Run expiry management with FEFO/FIFO enforcement, near-expiry sweeps and timely write-off or liquidation of expired and damaged stock, especially for perishable and short-shelf-life products. Find and act on slow-moving, excess and dead stock that is taking up prime pick space. Track how often hygiene tasks are completed on time and how good they are, by shift and by team. Planogram and Slotting Own the warehouse planogram and slotting strategy: fast movers in the most accessible pick faces, by product velocity, size, weight and how often items are ordered together. Re-slot regularly as demand, seasonality and assortment change, to cut picker travel and raise picks per hour. Keep bin location master data, bin capacities and minimum/maximum refill levels for each pick face accurate in the warehouse management system. Plan space and layout for new SKUs, promotions and peak periods. Consolidation and Space Utilization Drive regular bin consolidation: merge partly filled locations of the same SKU and batch to free up capacity. Raise storage density and bin utilization while keeping picking fast and accurate. Coordinate refills from reserve storage to pick faces so that pick locations don’t run empty and cause skips. Reporting and Collaboration Track and report the core warehouse inventory KPIs: inventory accuracy %, pick skip rate %, stock variance value, shrinkage and wastage, hygiene task completion, bin utilization %, and how well locations follow the planogram. Prepare regular root-cause reports with corrective actions, and present trends to Operations leadership. Work closely with Warehouse Operations, Inbound/Receiving, Finance and Systems teams to keep inventory control and processes working from end to end. Lead inventory audits and ensure adherence to company policies, food safety standards and operating procedures. What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. 5–8 years of experience in warehouse inventory control or warehouse operations, ideally in quick commerce, e-commerce, FMCG, grocery retail or a high-volume distribution center. Proven track record of improving inventory accuracy and reducing pick skips or mis-picks in a busy warehouse. Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems, cycle counting programs, slotting and planogram design, and bin consolidation. Strong analytical skills (advanced Excel or Google Sheets; SQL or BI tools are a plus) and comfort working from location-level data. Hands-on leadership style, comfortable on the warehouse floor and able to drive discipline across shifts. Show more Show less
