Accountant | Bridge International for Academic Services Location: Amman, Jordan Bridge International for Academic Services is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will manage daily accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and support financial reporting and controls across our student recruitment and educational events operations. Key Responsibilities Maintain the general ledger and accurately record financial transactions. Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections. Perform bank reconciliations and investigate financial discrepancies. Track university commission receivables, reconcile partner statements, and follow up on outstanding payments. Monitor income and expenditure associated with educational fairs and other company activities. Prepare monthly financial reports and support month-end and year-end closing. Support payroll processing, tax documentation, and audit preparation. Maintain organised financial records and uphold internal controls and confidentiality. Qualifications and Experience Proven professional experience in accounting is essential. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred; a master’s degree in Accounting will be considered a strong advantage. Sound knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet reporting deadlines. Professional integrity, discretion, and effective communication skills. Previous experience in an education consultancy, student recruitment agency, or service-based organisation is an advantage. Show more Show less
