GCI is gathering interested candidates for possible overseas engineering and technical advisory positions supporting a U.S. foreign military sales program for an allied air force. The customer lists about 37 positions across about 14 organizations and 16 position types. Work would be in Saudi Arabia on a long-term assignment, and employment is contingent on contract award. Common to every position Level And Experience Junior = bachelor’s degree and 4 years, or 8 years of directly related experience with proper certifications. Mid-level = bachelor’s degree and 10 years, or 15 years. Senior = master’s and 12 years, or bachelor’s and 15 years, or 20 years. Subject matter expert = master’s and 15 years, or bachelor’s and 20 years, or a retired senior officer. Experience with Saudi air force systems is preferred at the mid level and above. Active Secret clearance. Candidates must meet U.S. export control requirements. Medical fitness for overseas assignment, and willingness to relocate. GCI arranges visas, work permits and travel; housing and family support is provided for non-Saudi employees and accompanying partners. Advise Saudi air force counterparts, train staff on the job, brief leaders and prepare technical reports. Software Engineer Location: Saudi Arabia (overseas assignment). Analyze and fix software trouble reports, develop and maintain source code, databases and tools, update technical manuals, and train staff on large real-time air defense systems. Advise on communications engineering, analyze existing IT, telecom and command and control systems, lead technical teams on upgrades, and manage modifications from start to finish. Establish configuration baselines, manage changes to software and engineering documents, run configuration audits and change review boards, and write the configuration management plan. Advise on systems engineering for command, control, communications, computer and intelligence systems, lead upgrade teams and manage project implementations. Install, test and maintain data processing and display equipment for large-scale air defense command and control, including large-screen displays. Advise on surveillance radars and their subsystems, manage modifications, perform intermediate maintenance, train staff, and travel to remote radar sites with mobile maintenance teams. Provide solutions to complex aviation and airworthiness issues, serve as the technical focal point for engineering and maintenance, and produce drawings, specifications and engineering reports. Aircraft Jet Engine and Propulsion Engineer Location: Saudi Arabia (overseas assignment). Analyze engine performance and test cell data, resolve test cell problems, and review engine repair work and engineering changes. Create 2D and 3D engineering drawings, produce design data for aircraft structures, review technical data, and recommend authorizations for repairs and modifications. Troubleshoot avionics and instrumentation problems, including glass cockpit systems, inspect and repair flight simulators, and supervise avionics flight personnel. Support and enhance an engine tracking and maintenance data system, assist with data collection and logistics planning, and track time-compliance technical orders. Surveillance Aircraft Trainer (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) Location: Saudi Arabia (overseas assignment). Train staff on intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance mission systems on a turboprop surveillance aircraft, develop training material, and maintain training standards and job descriptions. Advise and train on maintenance, quality and logistics across several aircraft and helicopter types, manage contract maintenance staff, and act as the focal point with other contractors and U.S. offices. Advise and train on aviation supply and logistics, analyze logistics data, support parts ordering and budgets, and prepare business case analyses and cost estimates.
