Role Description The Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC – Construction Experience) will lead the design, review, and implementation of HVAC systems for building and construction projects. This full-time, on-site role in Qesm 1st New Cairo includes preparing and validating HVAC designs, load calculations, and technical drawings, and coordinating with architectural, structural, and electrical teams to ensure integrated solutions. The role involves supervising installation, testing, and commissioning activities, resolving technical issues on site, and ensuring compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and project specifications. The engineer will manage project timelines, monitor progress, support procurement with technical input, and prepare technical reports and documentation. The position also includes mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with project management teams, and contributing to continuous improvement and innovation in HVAC designs and construction practices. Qualifications Strong Mechanical Engineering background with proven HVAC construction experience, including system design, installation, and commissioning. Proficiency in Machine Design and understanding of mechanical components relevant to HVAC and building services. Ability to work with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and related software for creating and reviewing technical drawings and layouts. Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication. Experience in Research and Development (R&D), with the ability to evaluate new technologies, materials, and methods for HVAC and mechanical systems. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline. Knowledge of international and local HVAC codes, standards, and safety regulations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and quality. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on-site. Previous experience in Egypt’s construction sector or similar regional markets is an advantage.
