TYPSA’s aviation teams provide: Airport master planning, demand forecasting and capacity studies Airfield design: runways, taxiways, aprons, pavements, AGL and NAVAID Terminal, landside and support-facility planning and design Design review, technical advisory and construction supervision for airport operators Job Description About the Role TYPSA is expanding its aviation team in Riyadh and is looking for a senior lead in airfield engineering and planning. You will lead planning and engineering for a major international airport, from master plan and capacity studies to airfield design, review and phasing on a live operational environment. You will work closely with the airport operator, GACA, consultants, and contractors. Responsibilities Lead preparation and updates of the Airport Master Plan and Airport Layout Plan (ALP) Lead capacity studies for runways, taxiways, aprons, terminals and landside Lead planning, coordination and review of airfield designs: geometry, pavements, drainage, AGL and NAVAID Review consultant and contractor submissions against ICAO and GACAR Plan works phasing and safety on an operating airfield Coordinate with GACA, government agencies, consultants and contractors Lead multidisciplinary teams and present recommendations to senior management Evaluate alternatives and lead value engineering Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Airport Engineering, Aviation Planning or related field Eligible for Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration Fluent English Based in or willing to relocate to Riyadh Required Skills AviPLAN, CAST, AirTop, REDIM, FAArfield, PCR/ACR Airfield geometry design (runways, taxiways, aprons) Airfield pavements, grading and drainage AGL and NAVAID systems ICAO Annex 14 and aerodrome standards GACAR 139, ICAO Doc 9157, FAA planning guidance AutoCAD / Civil 3D Leadership of multidisciplinary teams Preferred Skills FAA AC 150 series Saudi/GCC airport experience and GACA approvals Projects on operating, multi-terminal airports (phasing under operations) Client-side design review or technical advisory Arabic Years of Experience 15+ years, with substantial airfield engineering experience Show more Show less
