General Practitioner - Pediatric/School

King's College London Hospital Dubai is currently looking for an experienced General Practitioner - Pediatric/School for Arcadia Global School. Position Overview: Evaluate, diagnose, consult, perform history and physical exam, and provide treatment in a general practitioner setting/school clinic setting. Clinical Accountabilities: Provide preventative services, immunizations, health promotion, and guidance to adolescent patients during wellness visits, routine care visits and acute care visits Demonstrate the knowledge and the ability to deal with surgical /medical emergencies in a school setting and appropriately refer the patient to hospital for further assessment Identify the indication and perform procedures appropriately for the stabilization of the patient in an emergency including anaphylaxis, choking. Management of Trauma in school setting. Performing stabilisation until transfer to hospital facility eg c spine mobilisation, initial fracture management, analgesia assessment. Assess fitness to work, perform pre-employment medicals and where relevant, onsite assessments Understand and undertake children vaccinations according to the childhood vaccination schedule. Minor burns management & Injection IV, IM, SC and subdermal IV cannulation & Venepuncture Telephonic triage of Paediatric and Adult patients requesting clinical advice, including the prescription of medications and ordering of laboratory tests where appropriate, the timely onward referral to relevant specialties for further assessment, and the provision of appropriate safety net instructions in the event of worsening symptoms Qualification: MD or MBBS/MBChB Any post graduate qualification - Paediatrics/Children Health Dubai Health Authority License/Home Country License Knowledge in DHA School policies and standards.
