Merchandise Planning & Buying Manager

We're Hiring | Merchandise Planning & Buying Manager Location: Egypt – Fully Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: Minimum 5 Years We are looking for an experienced Merchandise Planning & Buying Manager to oversee the complete merchandise lifecycle, from product planning and private-label development to sourcing, purchasing, pricing, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have strong retail merchandising experience, excellent analytical and negotiation skills, and proven experience managing teams and suppliers. Key Responsibilities: Develop annual and seasonal merchandise plans aligned with sales targets and market trends. Manage product categories, assortments, purchasing budgets, and inventory levels. Oversee private-label product development, sourcing, and manufacturing. Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, minimum order quantities, payment terms, and delivery schedules. Manage purchasing, production timelines, and shipment schedules. Develop pricing strategies to maximize profitability. Monitor inventory performance, stock turnover, sell-through rates, and replenishment. Analyze sales trends, market opportunities, and product performance. Lead and manage the merchandise planning and buying team. Collaborate with Retail, Marketing, Finance, and Warehouse teams. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in merchandise planning, buying, or product development. Proven experience managing and leading teams. Strong background in private-label development, sourcing, and manufacturing. Excellent knowledge of retail merchandising, inventory planning, and supplier management. Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP systems. Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills. Excellent English communication skills. Experience in home textiles, home furnishings, or lifestyle retail is highly preferred. Experience working with the Saudi retail market is a strong advantage.
